Business Advocacy

The WRC advocates for the growth, health and development of business in Agawam and West Springfield. Recent initiatives include two extensive surveys conducted — one on the process of doing business with the Town of West Springfield, resulting in a number of business-friendly modifications and improvements; the other, in conjunction with Town officials, on accessing the community s reaction to the possibility of business development in the town of Agawam.

The survey was commissioned by the WRC and conducted by the Western New England College Polling Institute, and provided objective information that indicated, overwhelmingly, that the residents would welcome additional retail development in Town "if properly planned.

The WRC will continue to host legislative programs that encourage our members to get involved in the legislative process.
